Some prominent creationist promoters of these tracks have long since withdrawn their support. Some of the allegedly human tracks may be artefacts of erosion of dinosaur tracks obscuring the claw marks. There is a need for properly documented research on the tracks before we would use them to argue the coexistence of humans and dinosaurs. 創造科学の父たるDr. Henry M. Morrisと仲間たちは、創造科学の教科書的な本"Scietific Creationisim" (1974, 1985)で、"One of the most spectacular examples of anomalous fossils(p.122)"として、このPalux Riverの恐竜と"人間"の足跡化石を取り上げた。

この見解を、Institute for Creation ResearchをDr. Henry M. Morrisから引き継いだDr. John D. Morrisは、いささか未練がましく撤回している。

Even though it would now be improper for creationists to continue to use the Paluxy data as evidence against evolution, in the light of these questions, there is still much that is not known about the tracks and continued research is in order. We stand committed to truth, and will gladly modify or abandon our previous interpretation of the Paluxy data as the facts dictate.
