- 進化論だけが人間は動物だと言っているのではない。あらゆる基礎生物学がそう言っている。
- 誰が、動物は非倫理的で、審美眼がなく、理想主義でもなく、宗教的でもないと言ったか？ 多くの動物は利他的行動を見せる。また他の動物たちは死せる仲間に敬意を表する。まったくの冗談と言うわけでもなく、動物は人間よりも倫理的だと主張する者もいる。
