The high pressures found in oil and gas wells are proof of a young earth. If the earth were old, the pressures would have bled off by now.

Response:
- 高圧は、数千万年にわたって埋蔵状態が維持できるだけの不浸透層に石油やガスが捕えられていることを示している。もし、主張の背後にある仮定（地球が若くて、岩石から浸透性である）が正しいなら、そもそも高圧になることがない。
- 原油やガスが現在の埋蔵場所へ移動するという地質学的現象は比較的最近に起きたかもしれない。油田やガス田が若いとしても、それは石油やガスが若いことを意味しない。
