- 表中の数字は、停留時間すなわち、微量元素が除去されるまで海水中に留まっている平均時間である。これらの時間は蓄積に要する時間ではない。個々の原子はもっと長くいるかもしれず、短いかもしれない。海洋の元素についての供給と除去の量はおおよそ平衡している。
